In preparation for resurfacing of the Middle Neck Road by Nassau County, and in collaboration with the County's Department of Public Work, an improved and beautified median is planned for Middle Neck Road. In order to clear the median for such improvement, all trees and railroad tiles on Middle Neck Road in the Village will be replaced with County approved median. 

Tree removal is planned to start on Monday afternoon September 20^th and it will be completed by Thursday September 23^rd. During the removal period, some blocks on Middle Neck Road, from Hicks Lane to Piccadilly will be closed periodically to vehicular traffic, for safe and fast removal of the trees.
